I loved the article and moreover the last sentence. I love silence. And I love observing other people's silence. I am so fascinated by hidden stuff.

Though, I have a question (you could think at that in another of your sleepless night): when it comes to the will of saying something, who decide whether it is worth saying it? and above all, does it really matter if we use FB, our voice, our inner voice, our pen, our eyes ... anything?

Sadly, unworthy stuff are being said every three seconds in a million different ways. FB is just another one. I actually read some enriching citations every now and then. Anyway, what interests me is: why are people so angry and why do they feel the need to "say stuff" all the time? The mean (FB, Twitter, whatever ...) is just immaterial..

To me, the world is just too loud. People can't cope with being on their own. They don't enjoy their own company anymore. Sometimes there's so much noise around that I have the feeling I can barely listen to my own silence.

Have you ever tried to walk across a crowded street wearing ear-plugs? It's amazing what you can actually hear. Cool experience, I tell you.

It has been a while that I didn't come here, and as usually I enjoy reading your articles; the latest ones more than the others, I might say, since I am an Italian girl (lol) and because I graduated in Philosophy (specializing in Logic and Philosophy of language - kind of more "concrete" to me), plus, I am one of those graduates eager to do something great and currently looking for a job.
Bravo! I will keep reading and think about environmental jobs.
Pity is that my degree doesn't sound so interesting for employers. Well, at least it is useful when it comes to get the bigger sense of things, so I don't get depressed for some bad feedback :). For this reason I am actually quite happy of having studied that :))

Have a great day!

I can't see Twitter kicking off to be honest, Facebook already covers that side of things and I saw a pole recently that said 90% of British people are 'on' the 'book - it can only get bigger.

Blogs should be like Carneddau, funny and interesting.

Love the article, very funny.

I think you're stuck on this one. The wireless headphones surely plug into the audio output thus blocking off the audio from everyone else?

Unless you have two audio outputs, one for the wireless headphones and one that plugs into the hi-fi? Or use a split adaptor to make two audio outputs?

Or..... the wireless headphones use a different output like the A/V socket, thus sharing the audio with the TV speakers?

It sounds complicated, just turn the volume up or put subtitles on.

Woke up this morning feeling pretty fresh and, as usual, wandered into the kitchen for breakfast. Had a quick glance out the window, 'Ooh, it's sunny, again' - I thought. So I opened the kitchen door. Wow. It was hot. It was 25 degrees centrigrade and it was 7.30 am. By 8 am it was 33 degrees.

It's October here in Sydney which is technically their Spring and they tell me it gets really hot in December and January.

Hate to rub it in and all that but here's the moral of the story: move to Australia.
